I don't think I've ever encountered anything as truly moving as the Stolpersteine. As you said, suddenly you're right there. Right there where that precious life existed - in its purest, most mundane but extraordinary way. They are so profound in their beauty and memorial.

Beautiful…I’m so glad the tribute to Steve went well. Also, I’ve seen those powerful stones in Jewish Quarters of another EU country too…was it Italy maybe?? The terror of the knock on the door….
