Thank goodness for the MPC because I was in constant wonder about what BJCC stood for! Also, re: Soviet-esque concrete bunker-type structures, ask one of the Wilcos about the place they once played in Zagreb, Croatia (which I think was actually a Soviet complex of some sort)…😂

Two of my children graduated high school in the same room at the BJCC where y'all played last night. That history made me worry about weird vibes for me, but the bonus is that both bands SOUNDED INCREDIBLE in that concert hall. Come back to Bham anytime!

The 1st cool show I ever saw was when at 15 my friends busted me out of Saturday detention at Gulfport High School (Mississippi, not Florida) and we drove 4.5 hours to Birmingham’s UAB civic center bribing the door man with $20 to let us in for the Babe’s in Toyland, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr (1991) triple bill. We listened to ‘No Depression’ front and back at least 4 times there and back.

Love you guys… love your notes.. live in Nashville now and still have love for Birmingham.. sorry I missed you this go round.. please come back again soon.

You could say that the reverberation of the pop opening fades into the quiet “sierra” mist? Sorry I came here to say just that.
