I’m in the desert recording a friend’s album.
And this cat is keeping me company every day.
I sit on the studio couch and he settles next to me, decides that I’m in his spot and his spot is on me.
My studiomates and I wondered if it was just about the couch, a “right place at the right time”-type bonding situation.
But I sat on the other side of the couch and he came to me. Hit me with the classic rests-one-paw-on-you move that some cats do.
Did I mention his name is Squeaker?
We’re making beautiful music and it’s thanks, in a Squeaker-sized part, to him.
Yesterday was International Women’s Day and my mom shared this all-time goodie on her Instagram:
I was a Teamster in the late 70s and early 80s when I unloaded trucks for UPS. All of my mail from them including my Honorable Discharge came addressed to BROTHER SUSAN MILLER. Happy International Women’s Day.
Love.
What’s going on? Not generally, but as in with you, this week?
In between recording time I’ve been awe-struck by Laraaji.

Cat has one heck of a film crew!
Cats know the good eggs.
What's going on is my 8 y.o. son is getting into Twisted Sister, went so far as to draw their logo on a piece of paper. I'm cool with it; he may someday find Husker Du and The Replacements in my music library, but until then, he might discover Quiet Riot or Ozzy. He thinks I know your dad.
