What's going on is my 8 y.o. son is getting into Twisted Sister, went so far as to draw their logo on a piece of paper. I'm cool with it; he may someday find Husker Du and The Replacements in my music library, but until then, he might discover Quiet Riot or Ozzy. He thinks I know your dad.
Squeaker knows he can trust you. He connects with you. There’s nothing like the quiet intimacy of a relationship with a cat. I got my first cat in 1981 and haven’t been without one since. This week, we are dealing with issues related to what will be our last cat. Cancer that has been growing in his head for the last couple of years has mostly swallowed his right eye. He looks awful but seems to feel okay. I’ve already gone through all the stages of grief over the last 2 years, so mostly I’m just numb. I’m hoping that if he continues to feel okay we can take a quick road trip to catch Wilco in Port Chester. I could sure use the boost. Fingers crossed for good cat health, good weather, and good luck in scoring tickets at the last minute.
What’s going on with us? Driving across Pennsylvania and New York with my wife and daughter visiting prospective colleges... fun!! Nice to get out of the rain in L.A. Never ever thought I’d use that sentence!
Squeaker looks well "settled in" but not like as in a "Sheldon" way as in the Big Bang Theory, I think he is going for the warmth and companionship aspect of things! Plus, my cat, Rascal, really likes music and in particular when I do a Wilco marathon on Youtube! He tends to hang around me more then! Glad to hear the music is going well and so proud of your mom hanging onto her Union card in the "Brotherhood". That was the 70's for ya!!
They always find the animal suckers...love when walking down the street and approaching person is trying to keep their dog away from me...dogs know a dog person..saw my friends, The Sadies, on Sunday..knew it would be a rough/lovely experience one year after founding brother, Dallas Good, passed suddenly from a heart condition...lovely pre-show dinner with Travis and Willy Vlautin and they fucking killed it on stage! So glad they got themselves out there!
