The man with the plastic bags covering his shoes is ingenious, how many times have I ruined shoes, so much so that I now have designated mowing wear!!! I do not care if they are green, as that is their main purpose in life! It made me ponder, "how does he do it and keep the bags on with all that physical action??" I really enjoy your observations Spencer, thanks!
You know what they say blondie, "you'll be amazed how much people talk when you listen" be an observer, not a weird one of course, but you'll find a all new world when you really "look". Ps waiting for part n°2
I find the man mowing the lawn with plastic bags on his feet very evocative, Spenser. A really sweet, melancholy and singular image. It feels like an indelible song lyric. (But what do I know, really?)
I'm a little confused by the whirligigs. Don't they fall in autumn, when they're brown? (I'm on the West Coast US, I've probably seen only one or two samaras in my life.)
Merriment from behind the hospital security office door! Such a deceptively small, but enormously intriguing, thing to observe, packed with possibilities. The beginning of a story or novel or song?
But I want to know why you're in a hospital near a security office door?

Rubber bands, maybe, Deb?
Two more observations and a question:
1. The plastic bags solution is actually quite brilliant I think?
2. What’s the story behind the little thermal receipt printer? I love it. Such a perfect little diary, keeping all of life’s truly important receipts!
I wanted a way to make my Observations posts physical! So I bought a generic receipt printer.
The hospital security merriment is worthy of Raymond Carver...
I hope you don’t have allergies! 🌱🌱🌱
That sidewalk is amazing. ❤️ Great photo!

I take out the trash, I mow the lawn, with plastic bags on my feet...
Took me a minute to understand the picture. Thought it was really cool two-tone grass 😂

Aargh! Let’s try again: That guy with the plastic bags on his feet probably started as a kid out in the snow keeping his shoes dry with bread bags.
Or his hands warm with same whilst riding his bicycle to school (or work)🤔
